Sri Swami Dayananda

Message from Swami Dayananada Saraswati

Sri Swami Dayananda Saraswati is an eminent scholar and an outstanding teacher of the Brahma Vidya, the truth revealed by the Upanishads at the end of the Veda. He belongs to a lineage of traditional teachers who help students to understand Vedanta by creating a proper context to convey complex ideas in simple terms.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati is not a preacher giving sermons, nor is he a missionary trying to spread a particular belief. Also, he is not a mystic promising subjective experiences. Through his teaching Swamiji helps every student to see the truth revealed by the Upanishads as a verifiable fact. He combines his deep scholarship and vivid communication skills with his pragmatic view of society. This is evident in the way he blends in the different situations of life into his teachings and discussions.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati has been teaching Vedanta for over thirty five years. He has conducted a number of three year courses in Vedanta both in India and the US. He established Arsha Vidya Gurukulam at Saylorsburg in 1986, where he conducted a three year course from January 1987 to December 1989. In 1990, he established a Gurukulam at Anaikatti near Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu, India. He recently completed the second three year course there.

Swamiji's most significant contribution has been the teachers he has created. All of them follow his teaching tradition and continue to create more teachers in the same way. While some of his students teach at Saylorsburg and Anaikatti gurukulams, a number of them conduct classes all over the world.

Swami Dayananda Saraswati stays at the Saylorsburg PA.Gurukulam during summer, when he teaches the family camps and holds evening satsangs (discussion forums). The remainder of his time is spent teaching in the Coimbatore Gurukulam in South India.

To all the students of

Education For Living

From

Swami Dayananada Saraswati

Here is an opportunity for you to have a re-look at yourself to see whether you are what you think yourself to be.

If there is an error in your self-judgement, this program will help you correct the error and live a life that is real.

"I am a small, insignificant mortal, subject to sorrow and happiness,"

is the common notion of any human being that is self-conscious and self-judging.

This popular notion is examined in this program of self-inquiry leading to the discovery of the fact,

"I am the whole, not subject to any change."

A great adventure wherein you challenge yourself.

Finally, you give up, you win.
