Steve "Scissorbill" Tainter, Legendary figure, rip-off artist and con-man cut a wide swath through the back-woods communities of Northern California in the Seventies. Over-estimating his own prowess, and over-extending himself financially as he over-indulged in choice pharmaceuticals (nothing but the best for Steve) he hit a low point when he stole the community's school funds as part of a complicated ponzi scheme. He is shown here behind the wheel of the "Marsh Hen" an Oregon dory he operated out of Shelter Cove in the early days. We won't forget you Steve.
