NEW WORLD ORDER

PART THREE

RELIGION - FOUNDATIONS

Today will be the last in this series on the globalist New World Order movement. We’ve done a lot with education the last couple of shows, but I wanted to extend our look into religion. You see, the New World Order will include a one-world religion. It has to. And the globalists have been working in that area, too. And we’ll see just how far back the one-world religion movement started when we briefly debunk December 25th as Jesus’ birthday.

The one-world government is pursued on many fronts: political, judicial, financial, military, agricultural, environmental. But the oldest arm of the one-world government is the religious arm. It started about 5,000 years ago with pagan sun worship in ancient Babylon – that’s Sumer, and Akkad, in Mesopotamia. The pagan mystery religions have known no borders. They have infiltrated all cultures. And the greatest purveyor of paganism and one-world religion is the Roman Catholic Church. And they alone seek most to unite all churches, with them at the head, of course. The Roman Catholic Church and paganism are the things that found Christmas, not God, not Jesus, not the Bible. Jesus wasn’t born on December 25th!

I’ve got a book here called Babylon Mystery Religion, Ancient and Modern, 1966, by Ralph Woodrow. I’m just going to read a couple of brief things that he’s got here.

“Christmas, December 25th, is the day designated on our calendars as the day of Christ’s birth. But is this really the day upon which Christ was born? Are today’s customs at this season of the year of a Christian origin, or is Christmas another result of a mixture between paganism and Christianity? A look at the word “Christmas” indicates that it is a mixture. And though it includes the name “Christ,” it also mentions “mass.” Now, the mass, with its rituals, elaborate ceremony, pagan prayers for the dead, transubstantiation rites, etc., is most assuredly a continuation of paganism. Considering that the name of these pagan rites, the mass, is connected with the name of “Christ” and the word “Christmas,” we immediately see an attempt to merge two conflicting systems together. Actually, to attach the name “Christ” with the word “mass,” a pagan and heathenistic ritual, is but to pollute the holy name of our God.

“The word “Christmas” is not found anywhere in the Scriptures, of course, and, as we shall see, December 25th is definitely not the date on which Christ was born. And it’s evident that our Savior was not born during the middle of winter, for at this time of his birth, the shepherds were living out in the fields with their flocks. That’s what the Scripture says. “There were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watching over their flock by night.” That’s in Luke 2:8. Well, as is well-known, the shepherds in Palestine do not “abide in the fields” during the winter season. The shepherds always bring their flocks in from the mountain slopes and the fields not later than October 15th (that’s a month and a half earlier).

“It’s quite evident, then, that Christ was not actually born in the middle of the winter season, but on the other hand, do the Scriptures tell us the season of the year he was born? Yes, the Scriptures indicate that he was born in the fall of the year. For example, our Lord’s public ministry lasted three and a half years. His ministry came to an end at the time of the Passover, which was in the spring of the year. And so, three and a half years before that mark would be the beginning of his ministry, in the fall of the year.

“Now, when Jesus began his ministry he was about 30 years of age. It says so in Luke 3:23. But also, this was the official age before which no one could serve as a priest in Judaism at the temple, any of the Levites or anything. You had to be 30 before you could serve as a priest. It was a recognized age that He could become an official minister under the Old Testament law. Therefore, since Christ began His ministry at about the age of 30, and since this was in the fall of the year, then 30 years before that would mark His birth in the early fall of the year, not December 25th.

“And still further proof of this conclusion may be seen from the fact that at the time that Jesus was born, Joseph and Mary had gone to Bethlehem to be taxed.”" And I like how he brings in an extra sidelight here. A lot of us hear about how they went to be taxed. But on top of that, there must have been one of the Jewish festivals happening, where thousands and thousands of people showed up at Jerusalem at the temple. He’ll go into that in a minute, that they had gone to be taxed. “But there are no records of this period whatsoever that would indicate that the middle of winter was the time of taxing. On the other hand, there is evidence that taxes were paid in the fall season of the year, and this was the logical time for taxes to be paid, since this was the end of the harvest.” So you got the profit from your harvest and you went to be taxed.

“There is also evidence that when Joseph and Mary made this trip that it was the time of the great feast at Jerusalem. This is the most logical reason why Mary went with Joseph, to attend the feast, as they also did later on occasions. For there was no law that would require the woman’s presence at the taxing, and yet she was there. So they went for the feast. Joseph might have gone to be taxed, but they went for the feast. See, we know that at the time they went to pay taxes was also the time of one of the great feasts of Jerusalem because of the enormous crowd. So enormous, in fact, that “there was no room at the inn in Bethlehem.” Now Jerusalem was normally a city of only 120,000 inhabitants but, according to Josephus, during the feasts, sometimes as many as two million Jews would gather there.” That’s ten times as many, right? “There was such a vast throng of people coming for the feast, not only would Jerusalem be filled, but the surrounding towns also, including Bethlehem, which was only five miles south.” See, mere taxation would not cause a crowd this big to be in Bethlehem, because each person was supposed to return to his own city to be taxed. So there weren’t two million people from the Jerusalem area.

“And so taking all of these things in consideration, it seems evident that Joseph and Mary made the journey, not only to pay the taxes, but also to attend a great feast at Jerusalem. Now this was at the end of the harvest season that they were taxed, and this was also the time of the Feast of the Tabernacles.” You see, there are three main times when everybody is supposed to go to Jerusalem for these set times, these sacrifice times. That was in the spring, at Passover; in the fall, as we said, for the Feast of the Tabernacles; and in the middle of that was the Feast of Pentacost, which happens a little short of a couple of months from Passover, so it’s in the early summer.

“So all of this, as well as the evidence already given, would mark the date of Christ’s birth in the fall, not December 25th. So since Christ wasn’t born on December 25th, then how did this particular day come to be part of the church calendar?” Because it was grafted on to Christianity from paganism, is the main answer. “History has the answer. Instead of this day being the time of our Savior’s birth, it is the very day and season on which the pagans, for centuries, all the way back to 3,000 B.C., had celebrated the birth of the sun god. A study into this shows how far the apostate church leaders went in their effort to merge Christianity and paganism into one apostate religion, even to placing Christ’s birth on a date to harmonize with the pagan birthday celebration of the sun god. It was in the fifth century that the Roman Catholic Church commanded that the birth of Christ be observed forever on December 25th. That was the day of the old Roman feast of the birth of Sol, one of the names of the sun god.

“In pagan days, this birth of the sun god was especially popular among the branch of the mysteries known as Mithraism. Concerning this we read, ‘The largest pagan religious cult which fostered celebration of December 25th as a holiday throughout the Roman and Greek worlds was the pagan sun worship, Mithraism.’ This festival was called ‘The Nativity,’ the nativity of the sun. And not only was Mithra the sun god of Mithraism, said to be born at this time of the year, but also – get this list of names – Osiris, Horus; those are Egyptians – Hercules, Bacchus, Adonis, Jupiter, Tammuz, and other sun gods were also supposedly born at what is today called the Christmas season,” the winter solstice. I mean, how much more logical? I mean, the winter solstice has got to be one of the greatest days of the year. I mean, weather-wise, it is for me. I feel rotten until the solstice, and then I know that the days are starting to get longer again. It’s a great thing to just get through the winter, even though you’ve still got January and February to go, the days start getting longer. It’s wonderful. Why not have a big celebration?

“Says one noted author, ‘The winter solstice was the time at which all the sun gods, from Osiris, Jupiter and Mithra, had celebrated their birthdays, the celebration being adorned with pine trees of Adonis, the holly of Saturn, and the mistletoe. Tapers represented the kindling of the newborn sun god’s fire.’

“Now the fact that the various sun gods that were worshiped in different countries were all believed to have born at the same season would seem to indicate that they were but a different form, under different names, of course, of the original son of the sun god, Tammuz.” The sun god was Nimrod, in the Bible, and his son, Tammuz, who wasn’t really his son because he was dead, long gone, before his wife Semiramis, could even have gotten pregnant with Tammuz, but that’s what they promote. He’s the son of Nimrod of Babylon. That was the land from which the sun worship originally spread. Ancient Babylon is the first civilization of recorded history, and that was their religion, sun religion.

“In Babylon, the birthday of Tammuz was celebrated at this time of the winter solstice, with great feasts and revelry and drunkenness, in the same way that many celebrate it today. The ancient celebration spread and became so much of an established custom that “in pagan Greece and Rome in the days of the Teutonic barbarians, in the remote times of ancient Egyptian civilization, in the infancy of the race East, West and North and South, the period of the winter solstice was ever a period of great rejoicing and festivity.”

“And when this mid-winter festival came to Rome, it was known as the Saturnalia, Saturn being but another name for Nimrod, as I mentioned, or Tammuz, as the hidden god. This feast was the most vile, when it came to Rome, immoral feast that ever disgraced pagan Rome. It was a season of license, drunkenness, and debauchery, when all restraints of law were laid aside. Slaves even abused their masters. It was part of the trip. And it was from this very feast at Rome that the merry-making of this season passed into the Roman Catholic Church and on down to our present day and our civilization. ‘It is a matter of common knowledge,’ says one writer, ‘that much of our association with the Christmas season, the holidays, the giving of presents, and the general feeling of geniality, is but the inheritance from the Roman winter festival of the Saturnalia’ – survivals of paganism. Paganism. Jesus was not born December 25th. He was born at the Feast of the Trumpets, late September, early October, the beginning of the Jewish civil year.

But the corrupting of God’s truth didn’t end when Babylon ceased. See, Babylon was only a temporary appendage of the overall Beast, the Beast of one-world religion, one-world religion which will be on us pretty soon, and is indicated very strongly in the Book of Revelation.

The Roman Catholic Church has historically sought one-world religion, Catholicism. They are the spiritual arm of the one-world government movement. See, socialism, which is what the one-world government movement is, it’s a move to socialism. Globalism is socialism, collectivism, soft Communism, if you will. And that won’t work without religion. See, Communism, pure Communism, didn’t work, did it? It didn’t work without suppressing the people forcibly.

See, the political arm of the New World Order has also done great damage to God’s truth. Here’s what John Stormer writes, in None Dare Call It Treason, which is the book that we’ve been using the last couple of shows here, to outline how the globalists, collectivists, socialists, whatever you want to call them, it doesn’t make any difference; it’s all the same result – what they’ve done to dumb down, not only American education, but education over the whole world, in order to promote socialism and one-world government.

Subverting Our Religious Heritage

“The collectivists, no respecter of institutions, no matter how sacred, planted their roots in the churches of America before the end of the 19th century. Dr. Walter Rauschenbush and Dr. Henry F. Ward were probably the most responsible for the “revolution in religion.” They replaced the Bible-based belief that man was individually responsible to God for his own salvation, with the concept of social salvation. Rauschenbush was a turn-of-the-century theologian, and Ward was a professor of Christian ethics at New York’s influential Union Theological Seminary for 25 years.” Now, I’ll mention this two or three times as we go through here: One person, properly placed, is better than a B-52 bomber full of bombs. And here’s one guy at the prestigious Union Theological Seminary – (I almost said “cemetery,” but cemetery is more like it!) – in New York for 25 years pushing this social salvation. “Analyzed, social salvation, what the collectivist theologians teach, is basically a restatement of the Marxian dogma of economic determinism. “Change the economic environment, and man will be transformed. Change the religious environment, and man will be transformed. A theology based on the message of Christ that teaches that through acceptance of Him and His teachings, man is changed, and can, in turn, change the world around him and correct his ills.”

“But Rauschenbush spelled out his break with the traditional Christianity. He did that clearly when he wrote this: “We differ from many Christians, men and women, who believe that if only man were personally converted, wrong and injustice will gradually disappear from the constructionists’ society. It does not appear such to us.” Dr. Rauschenbush graduated from Rochester Theological Seminary in 1885. He was a confirmed socialist even before making a trip to Europe in 1907 to visit with – these are very familiar names if you’ve heard the last couple of shows – he visited with Beatrice and Sydney Webb, and they’re the founders of the British Fabian Society, along with atheist George Bernard Shaw.” The Fabian Society, in just 40 years, took over the British government. They controlled the post of prime minister, eight cabinet positions, and another twelve high-level positions in the government. “Rauschenbush was a shrewd practitioner of the Fabian methodology, who realized that if he identified socialism as such in his teaching and preaching, that many people in the church would be repelled. Therefore, in his new “theology,” Rauschenbush promised the kingdom of God on earth. As early as 1893 Rauschenbush wrote this: “The only power that can make socialism succeed if it is established is religion. It cannot work in an irreligious country.”

“Major Edgar Bundy, in his comprehensive and well-documented book, Collectivism in the Churches, said of Rauschenbush: “Socialism thus is his first concern. Religion was only a means toward achieving socialism.” What effect has Rauschenbush had on the church in America? Here are the words of Dr. A.W. Beaven, the former president of the Federal Council of Churches of Christ in America, written in 1937: “It’s clear, it seems to me, that the greatest single influence on life and thought in the American church in the last 50 years was exerted by Walter Rauschenbush.” Rauschenbush in his social gospel provided the philosophy for the collectivist movement which has drained much of American Protestantism of its effect on man and his life. Dr. Henry F. Ward contributed the organizational and conspiratorial genius to the movement. Ward is an identified Communist.” I want to remind you again that Stormer, in his book, concentrates on the Communists. Because, I mean after all, it was written in 1964, so we’ve got almost 40 years behind us now, and we don’t call them Communists now – all the Communists, now, they’re out the window. Maybe the individual and the society of Communism is out the window, but the results and the purpose behind Communism isn’t out the window, because it’s always been the same. The globalists have used Communism as just a tool to use toward globalism. And now that’s out, and other stuff is in.

“Ward was identified as a Communist. In 1908 he was the founder of the oldest officially cited Communist front group in America, the Methodist Federation for Social Action. A year later he played a part in organizing the Federal Council of Churches, a national organization. It was the forerunner of the present-day National Council of Churches, which you probably have heard of. He’s been an organizer and a promoter of nearly every important Communist-front activity in America since. While in his 80’s, this durable old man was the keynote speaker at an officially sponsored Communist rally in New York, which protested – get this!! – this Communist-sponsored rally in New York protested the action of the Supreme Court, because they branded the Communist Party of the U.S.A. as a Communist-controlled organization.” Well, wait a minute! You go to the Supreme Court and try to argue that the Democratic National Committee is not controlled by the Democrats? Wait a minute here! I mean this guy was an identified, “identified under oath as a Communist, by Benjamin Gitlow, first head of the Communist Party of the U.S.A., by Manning Johnson, one-time leader of the Party’s Negro Section, and several others. He was called the Red Dean of the religious field before a committee of the U.S. Congress. Ward posed as a Methodist, but for 25 years he infected – which is the exact right term, infected – hundreds of young ministers of all denominations with his blasphemous ideas as Professor of Christian Ethics at Union Theological Seminary. He also served at the Boston School of Theology at Boston University.” One person in the right place at the right time.

“What effect did these Marxist conspirators, Fabians and Communists have on the church and its people and its theology and its teaching? In 1960 a controversy developed over the official U.S. Air Force Reserve training manual which warned the Air Force personnel that Communists, their dupes and sympathizers had infiltrated into churches, while church groups protested vehemently, and Congress investigated.” And they were so nice to these guys. “Richard Arens, staff director on the House Committee on Un-American Activities, testified during the hearings as to the evidence of Communist activity in the religious field, and he said this: ‘Thus far, of the leadership of the National Council of Churches of Christ in America, we have found over one hundred persons in leadership capacity with either Communist front records or records of service to Communist causes. The aggregate affiliations of the leadership, instead of being in the hundreds, as first indicated, is now, according to the latest count, into the thousands. But we have yet to complete our check, which would certainly suggest on the basis of authoritative sources of this committee, that the statement that there is infiltration of fellow travelers’ – that’s what they call Communists; fellow travelers in the churches and educational institutions – ‘is a complete understatement.’ It sure is. And what’s the result? The National Council of Churches, its subordinate organizations and the leaders of many of its affiliated denominations and their publications consistently parallel or follow the Communist party line.” Which now is not the Communist party line any more, it’s the globalist party line, the U.N. party line. “But at this time, the National Council of Churches was pushing for the recognition of Red China and its admission into the United Nations. It was also in opposition to the committees of Congress, which investigate Communist infiltration, subversion and agitation. They were also against anti-anti-Communism, and they were into the promotion of visits to America by Communist “church men” from behind the Iron Curtain.

“Now an independent group of Methodist clergy and laymen called the Circuit Riders, Incorporated have analyzed the influence achieved in the church of the collectivists, and from public records, newspaper ads sponsored by Communist fronts, the letterhead lists of sponsors of cited subversive groups, signers of Communist-circulated petitions, etc., the Circuit Riders have compiled and published names of over 7,000 ministers – this is in 1964, you know, there’s probably four times that many now – and theological school professors – the right person in the right place – who have supported Communist fronts and causes. Now these 7,000, some of whom supported 100 or more Communist causes, and some who only did one, are a small segment of the 200,000 Protestant ministers of America. So, are they important? You bet your life.” The right person in the right place.

“An analysis of the hierarchy of the six denominations included in the Circuit Riders study, religious publications and theological school faculties showed that the typical Fabian Communist fashion applies here. They hold positions of influence and control, far out of proportion to their numbers. For example, the Congressional hearings on the much-smeared Air Force Reserve training manual cited the names of a few leading fellow travelers (Communists) in the ministry. They included Walter Russell Bowie – I don’t expect you to know any of these names; at the time they were big guys – who was affiliated with 33 Communist fronts and causes, Henry J. Cadbury – we’ll hear his name a little bit later – with nine; George Dahl with 18, Leroy Waterman with 20, and Fleming Jones with a verified total of 25 affiliations with Communist fronts and causes. Oh, well, that’s only five guys. But these five guys, and 25 others with records of support for Communist causes, served on the committee of 95 Bible scholars, translators and theologians who produced the Revised Standard Version of the Holy Bible, a much-used version. Now, while less than 3% of the Protestant ministers have affiliated in any way with Communist fronts and causes, on this one important project nearly 30% of the participants have been so affiliated.”

Here’s the subtle, deceitful way that this works. Listen to this. “In their translation, the Revised Standard Version, these church “liberals” laid the foundation for current attacks on the validity of the virgin birth of Christ. Maybe you heard somebody say, no, no virgin birth there. And the questioning of the deity of Christ Himself. In the translation of the Old Testament, these scholars changed the prophetic message of Isaiah 7:14, which reads, “Behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son and call his name Immanuel.” And the new version, copyrighted by whom? The National Council of Churches. The same passage reads, “Behold a young woman shall conceive and bear a son and call his name Immanuel.” A young woman, not a virgin anymore, a young woman. Subtle little things that pick away, chip away at the basic truths.

“Through control of religious organizations and magazines, Sunday school literature, prominent seminaries, and journals of theological thought, they guide the thinking and paralyze the action of thousands of other dedicated men of God, by controlling the information they get.” How do they do that? Well, here’s something about church literature, an example of the influence of these collectivist thinkers have. “The Christian Century is perhaps the mostly widely distributed and most influential publication for Protestant clergymen.” Now Castro comes out and he says, “I’m a Communist. This movement is a Communist movement.” But what do they say? Three months later they come out with this, they say, “Have the Communists completely captured Cuba, and are they retaining Castro as a showpiece? The question which now arises is whether Castro controls or is controlled by the new president.” But that these thoughts should be voiced in an influential church paper, three months after Castro himself announced that he was a Communist, and almost three years after his firing squads executed thousands of Cubans, is utterly fantastic.

“But not all propaganda which finds its way into church literature and publications is so obvious. A publication called The Adult Student, the official Sunday school publication of the General Board of Education of the Methodist Church – I know this is Methodist because that is where Rauschenbush worked – of September 1962, the issue presented an “objective” study of Communism. And a certain tolerance of Communism and its leaders is implied or stated. Here’s an example. “First of all,” they say, “we deceive ourselves if we visualize Communism in stark black-and-white terms as absolute evil opposed to our absolute good.” Well, what’s wrong with that? It says, they aren’t all bad. Hey, Communists are okay. “Marx is pictured as a “humanitarian” and a “devoted husband and father.” Yeah, well, this whitewashing of Marx by a widely distributed church publication ignores the starvation death of three of his infant children and the unhappy suicides of two others in their teens. Further, Marx is equated with Jesus. How does he do that? By calling him a revolutionary. Jesus was a revolutionary. There’s a heading that says “Two Revolutionaries,” and The Adult Student goes on and says: “Jesus and Marx each lived in a time of social crisis. Each believed that a new order lay within the reach of man. Both recognized the need for social and moral reform. Both revealed a messianic sense of destiny.” Well, they must have been equal. They must have been the same. Jesus and Marx? The same trip. So everything Jesus said, Marx said. Continuing with the quotation, “Both men drew on their heritage of Old Testament prophecy to denounce the evils of the world. Thus, Marx and Christ were revolutionary leaders.” Boy!

Now how did they corrupt Christian doctrine? “The most tragic effect that the Henry F. Wards and like thinkers in the theological schools has been the warping of the basic precepts of Christian doctrine, until it is no longer an effective force in man’s life. Redbook magazine, in its August 1961 issue, published an article which sparked more than a little discussion among Bible-believing Christians, clergy and theologians. Based on interviews with 100 students at eight leading seminaries, the article found these figures”. Some of these are pretty funny! And this isn’t regular college; these are seminaries, people going into the ministry, going to be priests and pastors and ministers. “Fifty-six percent of the students didn’t believe in the virgin birth of Christ. A hundred years earlier, I bet 99% would have believed it. But only 56% didn’t believe. More than half. Eleven percent said no when they were asked if they believed in the divinity of Jesus. Many of the 89% who said yes, they believed in the divinity, they wanted to define the divinity to suit themselves. Belief in the immortality of man ranked as a major belief for only 2%.” Ninety-eight percent didn’t believe in immortality, no afterlife, no heaven. “And only 1% were convinced that there would be a second coming of Christ. And here’s the best one: While only 29% believe in a real heaven or hell – 29%, that’s all that believed in a real heaven or hell – 46% believe that Jesus ascended physically into heaven!” I mean, what happened to the other 17%? Well, we don’t believe in heaven, but – too much!

“See, this contradiction in itself has twice as many reported believing in the ascension into heaven as believe in heaven itself.” Are these folks confused or what? These are people going into the ministry!

“An official publication of the General Board of Education of the Methodist Church, Workers with Youth, in the September 1961 issue suggested that adult leaders use films – Hollywood films, not Christian films, Hollywood films – at young people’s meetings and social events.” See, this is a teacher’s guide, not to the student, the teacher’s guide. “It says it would be unrealistic to demand that such dramas be immaculate before they can qualify for such viewing. For under guidance we learn from the sordid and the pathological.” Oh, boy! Listen to this: “Today’s young people are over-exposed by the sordid and pathological from every side without being presented in church programs as well. The tone of the advice, as given to the Methodist youth leaders, is further demonstrated by this excerpt from the same article” Now they’re going to use some false logic here. They’re going to set up two bad things and give you a choice of which one you want. “The article says, “For many people the church has become a symbol for repression and restriction for a desperate fear of wrong.” Well, you can make a case for that; that’s true. “Perhaps it is far better for youth to risk moral stumbling – that’s the first bad thing – let them stumble – than to shrivel into barren and empty spirits, alone with their regrets.” Hey, well, nobody wants that. I don’t want a shriveled spirit. Let me see some of those Hollywood films and stumble a little bit! You see, it’s just like “save our children.” Oh, you want to save your children from a shriveled spirit? Well, let them see some of these dirty movies! “The church should be the one last bulwark against decaying morals and permissive experimentalist attitude towards sex, reflected in movies, literature, TV and media. The use of false alternatives – to risk moral stumbling or to shrivel into a barren, empty spirit – is a typical collectivist propaganda weapon for destroying traditional truth.

“Four hundred laymen and two hundred clergymen participated in the Fifth World Order Study Conference in Cleveland, Ohio. They unanimously passed a resolution in favor of diplomatic recognition of Red China by the U.S. and the seating of the Communist Chinese government in the United Nations.” Don’t tune out because that’s old history. “The conference was dominated by officers, staff personnel and members of the General Board of the National Council of Churches.” J. Edgar Hoover didn’t like these guys. “J. Edgar Hoover, in a series of articles in the fundamental church publication, Christianity Today, outlined the Communist strategy of deceit in their potent attack against churches.” Don’t tune out because it’s Communist. This is globalist. There’s a globalist movement which is using Communism at that time to achieve their globalist ends. The Communists didn’t know any better. They didn’t know. They thought they were going to put Communism to the whole world. Kruschev, he says, “We’re going to bury you,” to Nixon. “We’re going to bury you.” We globalists, not the Communists – obviously the Communists didn’t bury anybody; they’re out the window supposedly. It was the globalists that used the Communists for their globalist ends anyway.

“Hoover says this: “Look, the Communists are saying, we are tolerant of religion. We do not want to attack your faith. Rather, let’s work together on issues in which we are both interested: peace, civil liberties, economic justice.” When were the Communists ever interested in peace and civil liberties, or economic justice? “We Communists are believers in love, justice and the brotherhood of man. Let us not fight, but work together.” Here is the deadly come-along of Communism – J. Edgar Hoover still talking. Directed today at the Christian pulpit, this enables the party to move close to unsuspecting ministers and laymen who see only the exterior verbiage and not the concealed danger. How does the party work here? In many ways. Encouraging churchmen to endorse, support or even participate in Communist front groups, Communist-sponsored petitions. They try to neutralize the clerical opposition to Communism. You see, if a minister is influenced to keep silent about the dangers of Communism, the party is gained. How many churches today are effectively opposing Communism? In his article, Mr. Hoover asks the clergy to read the magazine. Have you encouraged members of your church, he says, to read about Communism, and to learn of its evil nature? Have you urged formation of discussion groups to acquaint men and women with the challenge? Unfortunately, much of the clergy in America has not heeded this sound advice. It appears that they’ve been largely neutralized in the fight, one of the Communist goals that Mr. Hoover outlined. Patriotic clergymen have been misled into opposing anti-Communist programs of all sorts, and sorts by the anti-anti-Communist propaganda and the religious press and the sincere desire to avoid controversy. And opposing Communism can be controversial.”

See, this erosion of religion is almost complete today. It’s not the National Council of Churches today; it’s the interfaith U.N. movement is moved up to the global level. They are collecting all the faiths into a one-world church, one-world religion, one that will not be disposed to tampering with the free rein of the elite. Who are these elite? Well, to say Rockefeller, Rothschild, Ford and Carnegie, et al., doesn’t do justice to the word “elite.” But if I were to say “foundations,” the direct support of the globalism movement is clearly seen. It’s the foundations who are doing the most pushing in the most areas for one-world government. The foundations push the hardest, because their founders stand to gain the most from a one-world government run by themselves. You see, they run the U.N. And when the U.N. runs the world, so will they. They’ve been at this a long, long time.

Just to give you an idea, as far back as 1947, the Carnegie Endowment said “this is our mission.” ‘The Endowment must work for the establishment of the United Nations headquarters in New York. The Endowment should construct programs primarily for the support of the United Nations. Programs should broadly educate in order to encourage public understanding and support the United Nations. The Endowment supported organizations such as International Relations Clubs and colleges, the Foreign Policy Association, the Institute of Pacific Relations, the Council on Foreign Relations, and local community groups should be utilized to achieve these ends, and support for the U.N. “ And the foundations all do this. The Rockefeller Foundation said the same thing.

“The IPR – the Institute of Pacific Relations – also served as a base for Owen Lattimore, a conscious, articulate instrument of the Soviet conspiracy, is what he was. Lattimore and his fellow agents with foundation-supplied funds influenced American foreign policy against Chiang Kai-shek.” They said oh, Communists are just agrarian reformers. They’re just doing a little change. “But the Reese Committee on Un-American Activities of the House said that the loss of China to the Communists may have been the most tragic event in our history, one to which foundation-supported Institute of Pacific Relations contributed heavily.

“The Ford Foundation equated Southeast Asia with our Revolution. They say it’s surprising that we have not been able to understand the situation in Asia because Americans should be peculiarly able to comprehend the meaning of revolution. Are the officers of a foundation who compare Russian-armed and finance coup in China with our Revolutionary War qualified to spend millions of tax-free money to influence public and governmental opinion in the field of foreign affairs, or any field? This Ford Foundation report was issued after the Chinese Communists had been killing Americans in Korea for 18 months, and it was released three years after the Communists completed their conquest of China and started on their well-publicized – well publicized – murder of 40 million Chinese.

“Rockefeller said it’s necessary to drum up support for the United Nations and their policy. We shouldn’t be harping on the less attractive features of Communism, is what they said. What features of Communism do the Rockefeller brothers and their panel of distinguished Americans find attractive? See, without saying “we must recognize Red China,” the Rockefeller brothers panel report tears down or ignores all the arguments against the recognition and presents all the “reasons” for recognizing Red China.” That’s in 1961. Now, where are we today? We’re at the door of CAFTA. What’s CAFTA? The Chinese-American Free Trade Agreement. It’s on the table right now.

“The Ford Foundation has supplied continual grants totaling over $1 million to the American Friends Service Committee to encourage pacifism, resistance to military service, conscientious objectors, and opposition to military preparedness. Friends Service Committee sponsored the World Youth Conference, a Communist front, and sent delegates to Communist-sponsored youth conferences behind the Iron Curtain. Friends Service Committee chairman Henry J. Cadbury – remember his name? – and the executive secretary, Clarence Pickett have lengthy records of affiliation with Communist fronts. Yet the Ford Foundation in its annual report justified its grants to the Friends Service Committee. “Oh, they know how to deal with that stuff.”

“Here’s what the Reese Committee of Congress said, in its evaluation of the impact of tax-exempted foundations on education, public opinion and foreign relations in the United States, and charged in its final report.” This is almost a whitewash; they really give these guys a lot of breaks. “It is the conclusion of this Committee that the trustees of some of the major foundations on numerous occasions have been beguiled” – beguiled – “by truly subversive forces. Without many of the trustees having the remotest idea of what has happened, these foundations have frequently been put substantially to uses, which have adversely affected the best interests of the United States, used to undermine many of our most precious institutions and to promote radical changes in the form of our government and our society. It appears to have happened largely through a process of administrative infiltration,” – which is very true – “and through the influence of academic consultants of leftist tendencies. The trustees of these foundations, with a few possible exceptions, could not have intended this result. It seems to us that it must have happened through their lack of understanding or through negligence.” Oh, these poor guys, they were duped. They didn’t know.

“In retrospect, viewing the reactions of most foundation executives of the Reese Committee’s thorough study, it is difficult to accept the charitable attitude shown toward the foundation trustees by the Reese Committee. The Committee efforts were met with ridicule, abuse and scorn by a majority of the trustees and executives of the foundations. And their leftist orientations continue today.”

You know, sometimes I hear, “Hey, so what? Why do I have to worry about that stuff? Why bother about that stuff?” I think that’s a form of denial. And some people realize that a small bit of information can be more powerful than that B-2 bomber. Look, I might not be able to stop someone from lying. But at least I won’t be fooled if I know they are. I want to act on the truth, and that alone is reason enough to pay attention to these issues.

Look, you or I can do no more than throw a couple of pebbles on the track in front of this global locomotive. But your personal integrity is going to suffer if you knowingly accept oppression. Right now, this minute, you have the ability and the means to put up some kind of resistance to the elite move to take over the world. You don’t have to win the whole battle. Just fire the shots you already have loaded. And in doing so, you’ll automatically be showing that God is real, and that you trust His promise to be there for you.
