WINDOWS 2000 CONNECTION SETUP

Double-click on My Computer and then double-click on the Control Panel. Double-click on Network and Dial-up Connections.

Your screen should now look like the one below :

Double-click on Make New Connection and you will be presented with the following screen :

Click on Next and select Dial-up to the Internet.

Click Next to continue to the next screen.

Select I want to set up my Internet connection manually and click on Next.

Select I connect through a phone line and a modem, then click on Next.

Enter the area code and phone number in the relevant boxes.
In this example it is 707-555-5555. You will not connect with this Number!

Check with the Operator to make sure the Number you intend to Dial is a Toll Free Call!

Click on the Advanced button to display the following screen:

For the connection type, select PPP.

For the Logon procedure select None.

Click on the Addresses tab.
Make sure to check the boxes next to Internet service provider automatically provides one and My ISP automatically Provides a Domain Name Server (DNS) address.

Click OK to take you back to the screen below.

Click on Next to continue to the following screen.

Enter your ASIS username.

Enter your password, this is case sensitive.

Click on Next to continue.

Enter ASIS as the Connection Name, and click Next.
Setting up Windows 2000 Internet connection is now complete.
