Number! In the Dial-Up Networking window, click the ASIS icon with your right mouse button and select Properties with your left mouse button. Click Next then click Finish. Place a check in the Use area code and Dialing Properties box. If you are on a LAN (Local Area Network), you should consult with your Network Administrator before going any further, as changing the numbers in this section could result in the loss of your LAN connectivity. Click the Networking tab.
The type of Dial-Up Server should be set to PPP: Internet, Windows 2000/NT, Windows ME Ensure that the boxes next to Enable software compression and TCP/IP are checked. All the other boxes must be unchecked. Click TCP/IP Settings
If you are connecting via a modem: Enable Server Assigned IP Address. Primary and Secondary WINS remain as zero's. Click OK and then click Security
Enter Your username in the username box. Enter Your password in the password box. Place a check in Connect Automatically Click the Dialing tab.
If you want to select ASIS as your default Internet connection place a check next to: This is the default Internet connection. Next place a dot in the radio button next to: Always dial my default connection. You can also enable Dial-up Networking to disconnect if idle for the time specified. |
