    The BricelandGPS User Interface

    Each Map Page is two screens wide and three screens tall, a total of six screens per page. If needed to cover the desired area, Map Titles may have more than one page. Each page is "pinned" to the preceeding and following page by identifying a common point on the slightly overlapping Map Pages.

    Your vehicle (whether a car, boat or plane) is represented on the map by a "turtle" icon, that leaves a trail wherever it goes. There is an "instrument panel" that can be set to display. This panel knows the direction you are heading. It follows behind at a discreet distance, shifting position as your heading changes or a Map Page edge begins to crowd it. The instrument panel displays the time and your elevation above sea level, speed, distance travelled since beginning of trip, and your current heading.

    Clicking on the turtle icon causes the instrument panel to be replaced with a context-sensitive menu, offering the options that may be needed on that Map Page. After executing whatever menu commands needed, another click on the turtle icon replaces the menu with the instrument panel.
